Michael Dupont holds a master degree in History from Copenhagen University. Through his academic training and a subsequent employment as archivist at the Danish Provincial Archives he has obtained a broad expertise in reseaching the public Danish archives. Despite his young age he is already a recognized expert e.g. in exploiting little known, but valuable archive types. Dupont has published several of his research results in the most acknowledged Danish periodicals.
One of Dupont's areas of expertise is the interpretation and practical use of former times' handwriting. Also in this area he has published valuable research and guidance.
Through the company arkivaren.com (www.arkivaren.com), Dupont offers professional genealogical assistance in archive research for public institutions, for companies and for private people searching for their Danish ancestors.
